Steven Jones

1959 – 2017

Born in 1959, Steven Jones spent most of his early childhood in Llysfaen, a small, idyllic village in the hills of North Wales. The panoramic views of the surrounding landscape inspired him to sketch and paint from an early age.

Steven was an artist illustrator from 1981 with the North Wales coastline providing much inspiration. He was attracted to the dazzling light and colours of the coastline and soon began painting his own three children enjoying the freedom of the seaside. These paintings proved to be extremely popular and sold in local art galleries and in Fine Art auctions in Bonhams, Christies and Sothebys.
